@ jonbit, go to the original site of your decoder manufacturer and download the right software for your receiver. pls. note- the model of your receiver is very important.

The receiver stays on 'on' only. It does not start 4 me to go to menu. That's the problem.

I am sure that I'm using the right software. The error message now reads "STB flash type unknown" it does not upgrade at all;some one pls help.

@ jonbit, CHECK THE SOFTWARE AGAIN AND ENSURE IS THE RIGHT SOFTWARE FOR YOUR RECEIVER BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD TO YOUR RECEIVER. THAT MIGHT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM
